Modsy is an interior design service startup based in San Francisco. Founded in 2015, the company uses in-house 3D rendering technology in order to style the customers’ rooms in the exact dimensions! Customers are able to check out beautiful renders of interior design within the context of their own homes.
Customers take a style quiz and room information to Modsy interior designers to then have their rooms modeled in 3D.
Despite having the opportunity to work across multiple projects, my primary focus was on an internal tool project. My task was to redesign an internal tool called, “Heidi,” a platform where customer information is stored for interior stylists to appropriately design the customers’ rooms. The ultimate goal was to create an efficient tool to reduce redesigns. In short, the customer on-boarding was not asking the customer the right questions and Heidi was not designed to maximum efficiency.
